For a more detailed video:    • The *FIRST DAY* Of *SUPERLOOP* Route ...   Today, Monday 28th August 2023, Cromwell Road Bus Station in Kingston has closed. Due to reconstruction and improvement works. It will reopen in Summer 2024. Cromwell Road is Kingston's main bus station ( one of two in the town ). The bus station is closing to be redeveloped for the 1st time since it opened in the 1990s. Routes The bus station is served by routes 57, 65, 71, 85, 111, 131, 213, 216, 281, 285, 371, 406, 411, 418, 458, 461, 465, 481, 481D, 513, 514, 515, 671, 715, K1, K2, K3, K4, K5, KU1, KU2, KU3, N65 Night Bus, N87 Night Bus, And Superloop route SL7 ( renumbered from X26 ). It will reopen with improved features such as: A new customer information office. Improved live information screens. A new canopy over the bus station. A wider passenger island with more space. New fully accessible toilets. Two new retail spaces. Improved accommodation for staff and drivers. A green canopy edge and planters. Solar panels. And improved LED lighting and CCTV. During the closure, several routes will stop at different stops, Or terminate and start at different bus stops: Routes 71, 281 (24 hr), 371, 406, 418, 465, 671, K5 and N65. Towards Chessington, Tolworth, Richmond, Epsom, Dorking or Ham. Will use a new stop PW on Cromwell Road. Routes 85 (24 hr), K2, K3, K4, K5, KU1, KU3, X26/SL7 Superloop and N87. Towards Putney, Kingston Hosp, Roehampton, Morden or Croydon. Will use a new stop RC on Cromwell Road. Routes 111 (24 hr), 216, 285 (24 hr), 411, 461 and 481. Towards Heathrow, Staines, West Molesey, Addlestone or West Mddx Hosp. Will use stop Q on Wood Street near the station. Routes 57 (24 hr), 131 and 213 (24 hr). Towards Clapham, Tooting or Sutton. Will use stop E2 on Eden Street or stop B on London Road. Routes K1, 458, 514, 515 and 715. Towards New Malden, Staines, Weybridge or Guildford. Will use stop D1 on Eden Street. Route 513 towards Cobham and Downside will depart from stop D1 on Eden Street. Route 65 towards Kingston Brook Street. Will use stop V near Kingston station or stop D2 at Eden Street. Routes 71, 406, 418, 465 and K1 toward Kingston. Will terminate at stop E3 on Eden Street. Routes 111, 216, 285, 411 and 481 toward Kingston. Will terminate at stop N on Wood Street.
