From Hardy to Shafak: My August in Books reading wrap-up

Welcome, dear viewers, to Books and Picnics! On this channel, I am sharing my passion for books and food and my aspirations towards leading a slower life celebrating the seasons. August has been a great reading month so far for me, so I thought I'd share all the books I've read and what I thought about them. Also, here is the recipe for the orange poppy cookies you see me bake in this video (yields 12): 100g of softened butter 200g flour 1tsp baking powder 25g rolled oats 2 tbsp poppy seeds 2 sachets of orange zest (or fresh zest of a big orange) 80g icing sugar 2 tbsp orange-mango juice Mix all the ingredients except for the icing sugar and the juice. Make twelve balls and carefully flatten them on a baking sheet covered with baking parchment. Bake at 180°C for about 12 minutes. Let cool off completely. Then mix the icing sugar with the juice and decorate.
