With this upload, I feel like I should clear up what's probably one of the biggest fusterclucks in TV history: what actually were the final moments of the Japanese version of Nickelodeon. While Nickelodeon Japan itself shut down just before midnight on September 30, 2009, a couple of Japanese TV providers, such as Hikari TV, cut the feed a day early, much like what happened to Qubo in the United States; this means that the SpongeBob video floating around were in fact the final moments that viewers of certain providers saw. So it's a half-truth. One of the providers that elected to keep Nick Japan on until Viacom pulled the plug was Sky PerfecTV, the provider on which this footage was recorded. As for the ending itself, it was rather dull; cut mid-bumper a la Cartoon Network Spain after an airing of "Bull and Red". In short, both this and the SpongeBob video are real; this just happens to be the definitive end of Nick's Japanese feed as overseen by Viacom engineers.
