Mission Red Planet Review (Vs. Libertalia: Winds of Galecrest)

Mission: Red Planet is a great interactive area-control board game. It uses action selection (character cards with different abilities) to determine your actions. The game can be quite chaotic, but it is part of the whole fun. It's basically a party game+, where it's not quite a serious game, but doesn't fit in the box of a party game either. It's quite similar to Libertalia in how chaotic and unpredictable it is. Though imo Libertalia is eclipsed by Mission Red Planet, because MRP is just straight up more interesting. Libertalia's card felt at most like minor variations, while the area control n MRP adds a whole new dimension to the game. Libertalia isn't as satisying too because it feels like a more intricate card game, whereas MRP feels like an actual solid board game. Some extra points I cut out from the video: - The action cards kinda suck, they're just clunky in general as it might obstruct with the timing of your discoveries activation. Just add this extra stops towards the end of the game. For something that probably wont appear in most of the games I play (only 4 cards), it's really not worth it. I removed them from the game for good just to make the game a bit smoother and I barely noticed any difference. - Even if you played the same cards in MRP, you'll most likely be doing slightly different things anyway (i.e. which ship to board, which astronaut to eliminate or charm) Gosh apologies that this took a while to put out lol, I didn't know that the video is gonna be this long.
