Discover the spiritual gems of the night prayer, Tahajjud, with timeless advice from the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and the early scholars. In this video, ‘Why You’ll Never Miss Tahajjud: 37 Gems of Night Prayer that Will Change Your Life,’ we explore not only practical insights into how to never miss Tahajjud, but also deep wisdom that highlights the importance of this sacred practice. Hadiths and Narrations: The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Hold fast to the night prayer, for it was the way of the righteous before you, a means of bringing you closer to Allah, a shield from sins, and an expiation for wrongdoing and a cure for ailments.' 📚 [Tahajjud & Qiyam al-Layl | Ibn Abi Dunya p.31] Aisha (RA) advised: 'Maintain the night prayer, for the Prophet ﷺ would pray regularly except when he was ill.' 📚 [Tahajjud & Qiyam al-Layl | Ibn Abi Dunya p.32] Upon arriving in Medina, the Prophet ﷺ said: 'O people, spread peace, feed the hungry, keep family ties, and pray at night while others are asleep. Enter Paradise in peace.' 📚 [Tahajjud & Qiyam al-Layl | Ibn Abi Dunya p.33] The Prophet ﷺ used to make this beautiful supplication while praying at night: Transliteration: **Allahumma laka al-hamd anta qayyimu as-samawati wal-ard wa man fihinna, wa laka al-hamd laka mulku as-samawati wal-ard wa man fihinna, wa laka al-hamd anta al-haqq, wa wa'duka haqq, wa liqā'uka haqq, wa qawluka haqq, wal-janna haqq, wan-nar haqq, wannabiyuna haqq, wa Muhammad ﷺ haqq, was-sa'atu haqq, Allahumma laka aslamtu, wa bika aamantu, wa 'alayka tawakkaltu, wa ilayka anabtu, wa bika khasamtu, wa ilayka hakamtu, faghfir li ma qaddamtu wa ma akhartu wa ma asrartu wa ma a'alantu, anta al-muqaddimu wa anta al-muakhkhiru, la ilaha illa anta._ Meaning: **O Allah, to You belongs all praise. You are the Maintainer of the heavens and the earth and all that is within them. To You belongs all praise. Yours is the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all that is within them. You are the Truth, Your promise is true, Your meeting is true, Your word is true, Paradise is true, Hell is true, the Prophets are true, and Muhammad is true, and the Hour is true. O Allah, to You I submit, in You I believe, upon You I rely, to You I repent, by You I argue, and to You I refer for judgment. So forgive me for what I have sent before and what I have left behind, what I have hidden and what I have done openly. You are the First and the Last. There is no god but You (or none has the right to be worshiped but You)._ 📚 [Tahajjud & Qiyam al-Layl | Ibn Abi Dunya p.41] Ibn Abbas narrated: 'I stayed overnight with my aunt Maimuna, and the Prophet ﷺ prayed during the night, and I heard him say: اللهم اجعل في قلبي نورًا، وفي بصري نورًا، وفي سمعي نورًا، وعن يميني نورًا، وعن شمالي نورًا، ومن فوقي نورًا، ومن تحتي نورًا، وأمامي نورًا، وخلفي نورًا، وأعظم لي نورًا. Transliteration: **Allahumma ij’al fi qalbi nura, wa fi basari nura, wa fi sam’i nura, wa ‘an yamini nura, wa ‘an shimali nura, wa min fawqi nura, wa min tahti nura, wa amami nura, wa khalfi nura, wa a’zham li nura. Meaning: **O Allah, place light in my heart, in my sight, in my hearing, on my right, on my left, above me, beneath me, in front of me, and behind me, and make me a light._ 📚 [Tahajjud & Qiyam al-Layl | Ibn Abi Dunya p.41] Join us as we delve into these gems and more, discovering the true blessings that come from connecting with Allah during the quiet hours of the night.
