I was on holiday for a week or so recently, and only had my ipad with me so i bought Wreckfest for iPad from the App Store for $11.99 (Canadian). I think that's the regular price, too. I don't know why but I thought that I would have lots of free time to play Wreckfest on my iPad while I was on Holiday, but the people i was spending it with had other plans, so i really only got to play it when i got back. and this is it :) I gather there's no connection between the ipad / mobile version and the desktop/console versions, so i didnt get the DLC I already owned, and there were zero multiplayer servers, so it looks like if you're into just the single player mode, you'd probably really enjoy this. I don't mind playing offline - and if you watch this you'll see that the AI are just as ruthless and vindictive as real people on line. It's definitely not a watered down experience. The settings for this game are quite deep, so you should likely be able to play it on any recent iPad - gen 9 "regular" ipad or higher, any pro, any newer Air (I'm playing on the M1 iPad Air and it was set to highest detail but there were some shadow pop-ins on one track, otherwise, fantastic performance - this recording is 1920x1334 and 59.94 fps (i realize that doesn't mean that the game is necessarily 60fps (ish) but it looked great. so yeah, something different (though I believe i have posted on other wreckfest on ipad video a while back), and for anyone who's more casual, this might be a fun option if you typically don't buy games for you ipad but wanted to try one. oh - and I'm using my PS5 controller and it worked right out of the box.
