Through five stories Dimitra came across, she wants to show us the continuous battle of a user trying to fill the emotional blank that led them into drug use and their progress to detox. Ignorance over such an important issue is equally dangerous. How much more is hidden in these stories?A talk dedicated to all children fighting against addiction. // Short Bio: Dimitra Sfika is a psycologist and psycotherapist. She studied Evolutionary and Clinical Psychology in France and in the United States.She completed her second degree at the School of Philosophy of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. After seven years of training, she graduated from a Greek team of group analysis and family therapy. She worked as a psychologist where she dealt with people with psychiatric disorders and she was involved in the prevention of the use of addictive substances in the Research Institute of Mental Health and the drug addiction for the “program 18 ANO” in the Attica Psychiatric Hospital. Dimitra Sfika was born in Corinth. After high school, she moved to France to study Psychology. She studied Evolutionary and Clinical Psychology in Caen and Toulouse. She continued her studies in the same field in the United States. In 1990, she completed her second degree at the School of Philosophy of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. In 1994, after seven years of training, she graduated from the Greek team of group analysis and family therapy with Matthew Josafat. In 1990, alongside her degree, she worked as a psychologist where she dealt with people with psychiatric disorders. After that, she was involved in the prevention of the use of addictive substances in the Research Institute of Mental Health and the drug addiction for the “program 18 ANO” in the Attica Psychiatric Hospital.
