NIULAND DISTRICT CELEBRATES TULUNI FESTIVAL

Niuland Area Students Union and ‘Niuland Area Sumi Totimi Loka’ jointly celebrated Tuluni festival at Niuland Public ground on July 5 whereby several villages from Niuland district attended the event. The festival was organised to educate today’s generation about the history, culture & tradition of forefathers. During the program, the villagers witnessed Morung stalls as well as various indigenous games. The event was not only organized for the Sumi tribe but for all the people of Niuland. Agricultural Production Commissioner, Kikheto Sema graced the event as the chief guest. While addressing the gathering, Sema stated that one cannot celebrate Tuluni without agriculture & farming and further urged the youths to practice agriculture & keep the spirit of Tuluni alive .
