Kerala Style Ada Pradhaman Recipe- Sadhya Recipes

Ingredients: Sliced coconut-150g Jaggery: 1/2 kg; grated coconut: 250g Rice ada- 500g Ghee: 4 tbsp. Cashew nuts- 100g Raisins-100g Cardamom powder: 2 tsp. Dry ginger powder-2 tsp Cumin powder-2 tsp Method: Today we’re going to make Kerala-style ada pradhanam. For that, first slice the coconut into small, thin pieces and keep it aside. Then heat a pan with water and add jaggery to it. Make jaggery syrup out of it and keep it aside. Then grate the coconut and transfer it into a wide-mouthed vessel and smash it by adding a bowl of water. Collect the coconut milk from it and keep it aside. Then boil water in a large vessel and add rice ada to it and cook well. Transfer the cooked rice ada in to another pan and drain it. Then heat ghee in a large pan and add the sliced coconut and fry it till it becomes brown and keep it aside. Then add cashew nuts and raisins and fry them and keep them aside. Then add the drained jagged syrup to the ghee and stir it and let it boil. When it’s consistency becomes thick, add the cooked rice ada in to it and mix well. Then add some ghee and mix again and stir and cook for a few minutes. Then add the thin coconut milk in to it and mix and let it boil. Then add milk and mix again. Now add the dry ginger powder, cardamom powder, and cumin powder and mix well. Then add all the fried coconut slices, cashews, and raisins. Mix well, add the thick coconut milk, and mix again. Kerala style ada pradhanam is ready.
