Zapier is a tool that lets you automate repetitive tasks. With Zapier, you can hook up your Instagram account to Dropbox (so that every Instagram post gets backed up). Or you can capture all your email leads neatly into a Google spreadsheet. There are tens of thousands of amazing use cases! Here’s a taste of my chat with Bryan Helmig: Q: How did you learn to code? Bryan: I learned to code in college and I learned because I was building lots of little projects. I started mostly in like the WordPress and Joomla ecosystem and that's where Wade Foster (co-founder of Zapier) and I did some consulting stuff together, where we would just be trying to put together little forums on a page or do consulting work for a real estate agent in town or whatever, just standing up a website, a little bit of web design stuff. And that's where it really got started. And then I realized there's a whole layer beneath WordPress. It's actually written on this language called PHP. And you can write plugins for it.
