Learn about our experience riding the entry-level GT Sensor Sport 29er trail bike. At only $2,000 the GT features a solid frame design with fun, modern geometry paired with good rear suspension performance. There is also a flip chip allowing for geometry adjustment. While the frame and rear shock work very well, the 2.2-inch tires, under-performing Tektro brakes and lack of dropper seatpost keep the Sensor Sport from competing against other bikes in this budget-oriented MTB class. Diehard GT fans would be better off saving up for the $2,750 GT Sensor Comp which has a solid spec and the same, modern geometry.
