Return of the Empress Canadian Pacific 2816 - Final Spike Tour Franklin Park to Davenport

I was joined by ‪@YellowNoseProductions‬ and several other railfans on May 9, 2024 to chase CPR #2816 - also known as the Empress - along the CPKC mainline for the 2024 CPR Final Spike Tour. We started at the Metra station in Bensenville, IL and worked our way West, chasing the Empress and stopping at various spots along the way. Once we got to Savanna, IL, we were met with a heavy downpour, which stopped no one from seeing 2816 cross the mighty Mississippi River. The train then turned South and headed for Davenport, IA. Due to the shorter distance between Sabula and Davenport, coupled with Final Spike Tour's speed, we were only able to get one spot before going into Davenport.
