Every footballer dreams of playing for a big club, and in South Africa they don't come any bigger than Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates or Mamelodi Sundowns. Lately, many of Cape Town's footballers have seen their careers plunge when recruited by one of these big Gauteng-based clubs. Some have struggled to adapt to the competitive work ethic and living conditions up north, which have contributed to their careers being cut unceremoniously short there. This is a story of a young, talented footballer who has attracted interest at these clubs, but has decided not to pursue a career there - just yet.
