Dimitrov is the most successful Bulgarian male tennis player, both in terms of ranking reached — first and only player to rank inside the top 30— and prize money won, being the only player to reach $1M. He is also the first (and only) Bulgarian to reach an ATP final in singles (in 2013) and doubles (in 2011) as well as the only Bulgarian male player to reach the 3rd round of a Grand Slam tournament (in 2013 at Roland Garros). Prior to his professional career, Dimitrov enjoyed a successful junior career, in which he held the World No. 1 ranking and won the Boys' Singles titles at the 2008 Wimbledon Championships and the 2008 US Open.
