In this video I assemble a pixel receiver control box. These receivers are used in conjunction with a pixel controller. There are several brands that use receivers which are listed in the parts list below. The advantage of a receiver is that you get the pixel output data closer to the lights you want to control. This prevents data losses that can occur when you run the data long distances. This build uses the following parts. Cutting boards from the dollar store. The boards are cut into two parts with the following dimensions 7 ½ inches by 5 5/8 for the top piece and 10 ¾ inches by 5 5/8 inches for the bottom. From your local hardware store get: • M4 screws with lengths of 50 mm, 10 mm and 16 mm • M3 screws that are 16 mm long • Nuts for M4 and M3 screws Differential receivers.
