I got a new camera that goes on my hat! Check out this Point Of View perspective of Solo Sailing on San Francisco Bay on my Classic Cruising yacht, a 32' Ericson from 1976. Learning how to sail is one thing. Learning how to sail by yourself; that's another thing altogether. In this video I go through all the steps of single hand sailing technique... at least my current techniques, and at least until the camera died. I start out in the safety of the slip and cast off... I shove off. Then I pull in all the fenders and ready the main sail. With R2D2 at the helm I hoist away! A few sloppy tacks come next and then it's time to throw out the fenders again and return to the slip.
