Ok so not a fishing related video, unless of course you count that I was on my way back from collecting bait. It just happened that I got caught by the bridge lifting at the front of the queue. So I thought it might be of interest, only recorded on a phone from inside my car, yep I was too idle to get out and do it. This is the Twin Sails Bridge across the Backwater Channel in Poole Harbour in Dorset. It took many years in the planning and allegedly some eye watering consultancy fees where paid. Yet it has rarely worked reliably for any length of time since it was opened. When the bridge has been functioning the local council often found it a good time to close the approach roads for work on them.
