This Raga has all the characteristic of Raga Sarang (Brindavani Sarang) except it has only Komal Nishad. The Swar set of this Raga is similar to Raga Megh-Malhar. But in Raga Megh-Malhar, Malhar Ang is shown prominently and in Raga Madhmaad Sarang, Sarang Ang is prominent. Pandit Jasraj belongs to the Mewati gharana of Hindustani classical music. Jasraj's vocal range extends three-and-a-half octaves and uses precise diction, a trademark of the Mewati gharana's style of khayal. He has also done extensive research in Haveli Sangeet under Baba Shyam Manohar Goswami Maharaj to create numerous innovative bandish (composition). Enjoy and stay connected!
