Andersen Door Lock Problems

Today we're gonna fix part of a lock from an Andersen Frenchwood door. I have fixed this very lock in the past with some epoxy. The epoxy worked well for a few months but the daily use of this door and lock quickly ruined the epoxy job. I had a go at drilling and tapping the parts so they could be held together with a screw. This screw head had to be removed; however, so the part could fit back into the mechanism. This is somewhat of a how to video for the diy minded folks with a hinged patio door made by andersen patio doors for use as an exit to your patio. The main issue with this Frenchwood door was the door lock. It is a multipoint lock that only works when the latch is lifted. Pretty much any home improvement person can do it yourself.
