It allows you to put a thin metal plate in your phone case which then allows your phone to easily magnetically attach to the dashboard mount - it's seriously one of the most convenient and helpful phone/car accessories ever. The style of the dashboard mount that we demonstrated in the video is the dash version, but it comes in a ton of different attachment styles (like vent, CD player, suction cup). These strips are very easy to remove from the dashboard, but they adhere WAY BETTER than the standard adhesive found on the mount. Without the 3M strips the mount just falls off (unless placed on a perfectly flat surface - which most dashboards don't have). Attached with the 3M strips, the mount is super secure!
