Be careful if you do this you can get a bad shock, capacitors hold a large charge of electricity long after its unplugged from power, try at your own risk. My screen would not come on when I first started it daily and I would have to unplug and plug in several times to get the screen to come on, a red light on the front of tv when I would attempt to try and turn on would flash twice and then a longer one, when I would attempt to power up and it wouldn't turn on, screen would jumble or not turn on at all at most times. If I did this again I would buy/use a solder sucker, it would of made this a lot easier, they are under $10 and I have one now for future use Get some paste solder flux for electronics and rosin core solder, most any soldering iron would likely work if you have those 3 things above. There is a risk of electric shock, be very careful and I left my tv unplugged for a few days before I removed rear cover, the capacitors are like electric storage devices and can hold power for long periods of time even after the tv is unplugged. The capacitors are under $10 for my fix, I been using this tv for about a month after I did this it and still works like new.
