Jowar Dhani Chivda | Popped Sorgham Millet Chivda | Storable Snacks Recipe

Jower Dhani Chivda is a popular snack in India that is made with popped sorghum millet (jowar dhani) Here's a recipe for making it at home: Ingredients: Jowar dhani(popped sorgham) - 4 cup Raw peanut - 1/2 cup Roasted chana dal(dalia) - 1/4 cup Dry coconut flakes - 1/4 cup Cashewnuts - 5 broken Curry leaves - 2 sprig Oil - 3 tbsp Jeera/ cumin - 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp Chilli powder - 1 to 1.5 tsp Salt - 3/4 tsp or to taste Sugar powder - 1 to 2tbsp (or as per the sweet) ⏩⏩⏩⏩Instructions: ⏩In a pan,roast Sorgham millet on medium heat for 5 minutes until it turns golden brown and crispy. Transfer to a bowl/plate. ⏩Heat 3tbsp OIL and add the peanuts,roast until golden in color. Move aside and add cumin seeds. Allow to crackle ⏩Add roasted channa dal,dried coconut slices,broken cashewnuts and curry leaves. Roast at medium low heat until crispy and light color change ⏩Switch off the stove ⏩Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt to taste. Mix well again. ⏩Add roasted puffed rice and mix well.Adjust the salt and spices.
