Lecture 8.1: Urban sociology

In this lecture, we begin to learn some basics about urban sociology and how we define the idea of being urban. We'll also briefly talk about the origins of urban sociology. As we learn about the basics of how we define a city, we'll talk about the Lexington MSA as well as the nearby Richmond-Berea micropolitan statistical area (micro) and the greater combined statistical area (CSA). We'll also talk about the largest MSAs in the United States.
