1919 All-Ireland Final Commemoration This year is the centenary of Co. Kildare’s victory over Galway in the 1919 All-Ireland football final. As part of the commemoration of the match, descendants of the players and officials were interviewed and shared stories, photographs, medals and other ephemera. Staff of the Kildare Local Studies, Genealogy and Archives department of Kildare County Library carried out extensive research on the team and the genealogy of each man. The film includes interviews with librarians, Mario Corrigan and James Durney, and genealogist, Karel Kiely.
