It's been made specifically to populate any 500 series chassis and requires NO POWER (like magic) Your ezPDi will function perfectly with or without the chassis being connected to a power source. Packed with useful features and involving the huge audio transformer sound you'll associate with some of your favourite British Class A mix preamps and consoles. Features including: Bespoke AML transformer developed specifically for purpose, switchable transformer loading for a range of tones and transient responses - basically: super fat, rich, low noise, and variable tone/dynamics like nothing else! High and low pass filters with 2 frequency positions each Ability to capture high level speaker output from your favourite guitar/bass amplifiers. The high level speaker "thru" allows you to power the speaker or cabinet after the PDi in the chain. You can even use the speaker output of your guitar amp in a live situation on stage. Then run the speaker output into the PDi, feed into a mic input and monitor through your PA system speakers without using any mics. Zero spill from drums or other instruments! You could even apply an impulse response simulating a cab if you're using Waves SoundGrid or Live Professor etc Attenuate or back off high level input with the trim switch and the potentiometer, earth lift to remove buzzes or hum. Return recorded material from your DAW through the PDi and obtain some transformer goodness, passive filtering and tweak the transformer primary/secondary switches - re-record back into the mic pre on your audio interface or mic pre of choice (you may need an XLR female to female adaptor or bespoke cable to correctly output from your DAW) Return recorded guitar/bass DI signals from your DAW through the PDi back into your favourite guitar or bass amp or combo after your original recording session has ended.
