There is an interesting dynamic when comparing Netflix's One Piece Live Action (OPLA) adaptation and the Ahsoka series on Disney+. Both series have their roots in animation: One Piece from anime, Ahsoka from Star Wars: Rebels and Star Wars: The Clone Wars. However, one series currently seems to be creating a new love for its franchise and expanding its fan base. And one seems to struggle to give its existing fanbase what it expects. Why?
