Entrepreneurship in waste management | SANTOSH POUDEL | TEDxDWIT College

The talk is the story of the garbage man, and how he has transformed the community. Mr. Poudel has devoted 13 years to the journey of waste entrepreneurship, passionately adding small bricks to the vision of a Clean Nepal and Healthy Nepali. He is the Founder of Waste Service and has also served as the CEO of Pokhara Waste Management. In addition, he established the Waste Management Enterprise, significantly contributing to the waste management sector. His exemplary work has been recognized globally, evidenced by his winning of the prestigious Sankalp Global Awards in 2020. Mr. Poudel is an alumni of several esteemed programs, including the US State Department's Community Solution Program in 2015 and the YES Course in Switzerland by my climate in 2015. He has shared his expertise on international platforms, being a speaker at the UN Global STI Forum in 2018 and the Global Solution Summit in 2018.Through his professional experience and global engagements, Mr. Poudel continues to drive forward the cause of effective waste management and environmental sustainability.
