Any programable pot, crockpot or pot on the stove can be used to cook the apple butter Ingredients for 8 pints of apple butter: 8 to 10 lbs. of apples 2 cups of brown sugar 2 cups of white sugar 1 cup of juice or water (I used apple cider) 2 teaspoons of vanilla 1 tablespoon of cinnamon 1 teaspoon of cloves 1 1/2 teaspoons of nutmeg 2 teaspoons of salt ***All spices will have to be adjusted to taste ***Blow that apple butter before you taste it fresh out of the pot.
