Our destination: Sharan Forest, nestled deep in the mountains of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The cool night breeze brushed past us as our motorbikes roared through the quiet roads of Murree and Kashmir, cutting through the darkness with headlights piercing the night, As we cruised along, the first hint of dawn appeared on the horizon, and by the time the sun rose, we arrived at Balakot via Muzaffarabad, our stop for breakfast. The sight of the mountains in the distance and the fresh mountain air added to the excitement. Over a hearty breakfast of hot parathas, chana, eggs, and chai, we recharged, preparing for the toughest part of the journey yet to come, By 8:30 AM, we hit the road again, but this time, the terrain truly began to test our skills. As we passed through Paras, the smooth roads gave way to a rough and rocky off-road track leading towards Sharan Forest. The route was steep, narrow, and filled with sharp twists and turns, demanding full concentration and control over our bikes. It was an adrenaline-filled challenge, but the thrill of riding through such rugged terrain made it all the more rewarding, After 2 hours of navigating the tough off-road track, we finally reached Sharan Forest around 11:30 AM. The breathtaking beauty of the towering trees, the crisp forest air, and the serene atmosphere immediately made all the effort worth it, Later, we ventured out to explore the surrounding forest trails, with some of us hiking through the thick woods to Manchi Top, while others relaxed and enjoyed the tranquil scenery. As night fell, we returned to our hotel, where we spent the evening around a bonfire, sharing stories of our ride, reflecting on the challenging but rewarding day, and enjoying a dinner and soon after boiled eggs and tea.
