Today, I’m going to show you why I think this is a great value in the sports sedan segment. After that, I will show you some of my favorite features, take it for a drive to give driving impressions, and at the end of this video I will point out some of the things you should LOOK for if you’re planning on buying one. There are other trims available such as the IS250 and the IS convertible. These models were offered in RWD and AWD trims and I’ll be reviewing those separately. In the U.S., you can also visit the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The link is also included below. https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls For either option, enter the vehicle’s 17 character VIN # and this will provide you with a list of recalls for the vehicle you are looking into. For the Lexus IS350, there are 2 important recalls that I’d like to highlight for you: TAKATA AIRBAG Recall You may or may not recall the TAKATA Airbag recall affecting various manufacturers. About 67 million have been recalled because these air bags can explode when deployed, causing serious injury or even death. Toyota has a dedicated page specifically for this recall. Make sure this recall has been addressed, if not, you may want to consider this in your offer and have it addressed immediately. I’m including links to all these websites below. Toyota Takata Recall https://www.toyota.com/recall/takata FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE Jan 13, 2020 For later 2018-2019 models, the low-pressure fuel pump inside the fuel tank may fail. If the fuel pump fails, the engine can stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash. What should you do: Toyota will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel pump, free of charge. The recall began May 4, 2020. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-888-270-9371 or Lexus customer service at 1-800-255-3987. Toyota's numbers for this recall are 20TB02 and 20TA02 for Toyota vehicles and 20LB01 and 20LA01 for Lexus vehicles.
