This Inspireurope+ webinar took place on 29 October between 13.00h and 14.15h CET and was moderated by Lucia Simms, Team Leader at Cara. A Cara Alumna and Dr Amit N. Pujari, Associate Professor in Biomedical Engineering at University of Hertfordshire, led the webinar. The alumna, whose presentation is omitted in this recording, spoke about their transition to industry from their PhD, and what to focus on to enhance opportunities outside of academia. The alumna provided an overview for researchers at risk on how to upskill and highlighted the key skills required for securing employment outside of academia, including networking, volunteering and attending workshops. Dr Pujari went through various routes that researchers at risk could explore outside of academia, providing key examples of the types of roles available. Both speakers allowed significant time for Q&A at the end of their presentations. This webinar is part of an Inspireurope+ series of webinars for at-risk researchers and has been implemented by Cara on behalf of the project's Consortium. Inspireurope+ is funded by the European Union. For further information, please visit https://sareurope.eu/inspireurope/
