Distinguishing among the five levels of employability is an important skill for occupational rehabilitation professionals, especially Occupational Therapists. The Employability Rating Scale (ERS) provides the necessary context for grading the ability level of a person's performance using the O*NET behaviorally anchored rating scales. This brief video is intended for novices who have not been introduced to the Minimum Necessary Intervention (MNI) model of functional capacity evaluation. The MNI approach guides the evaluator's participation in supervising the client so as to maintain safe and dependable productivity while obtaining the client's most competitive level of effort and productivity. By doing so, this sets the stage for developing evidence-based reasonable accommodations.
