The Harvard framework for Human Resource Management (HRM) is a model developed by the Harvard Business School to guide HR practices and strategies. The framework consists of four policy areas that should be aligned to achieve organizational goals: Human resource flow - this involves managing the flow of employees through recruitment, selection, training and development, performance appraisal, and compensation and benefits. Reward systems - this involves designing compensation and benefit programs that align with the organization's objectives and support employee motivation and retention. Employee influence - this involves creating a supportive work environment that encourages employee involvement, participation, and communication. Work systems - this involves designing work processes and systems that are efficient, effective, and aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. By aligning these policy areas with organizational goals, the Harvard framework aims to enhance organizational performance and employee well-being.
