First Open Studio I Kiggundu Rodney Art Studio

On 17th July 2022, I hosted various friends, family and young artists at my studio in Ndejje Wakiso for the very first Open Studio Session and Open Conversations. The aim if this is to see how to pull together as artists from within the same community and outside and also tap into different opportunities out there as we grow our craft but also invite our local communities to understand what this thing they see called art is. Art exists within our communities and its quite important to invite people from our local communities to come take part in it and step by step we can change the narrative. Am glad to have had some new young talents bring in theirwork to be seen for the very first time. This is going to be a continuous series of creative gatherings, networking activities and conversations aimed at sharing and connecting with different creatives/artists from the surrounding community here in Ndejje and those beyond and will be happening every third Sunday of the month every after two months.
