Sweden - Minecraft [Piano] OST

Sweden - Minecraft Sarah Bodman Studio: https://sarahbodman.com Sarah Bodman Studio Instagram:   / sarahbodmanstudio   I think this song looks easy, but is actually not. You can see in my performance of the song just how much you have to jump the right hand from one spot to another. The issue with that is apparent in the volume you can apply to the chords. I’m all about transparency here. I did need to use Ableton to up the volume on a lot of my chords because the other notes tend to over power the chord. So I wouldn’t say that I have this song mastered. I’m under the opinion that I just need more time playing piano in general to be able to apply power to chord jumps like these. But I don’t want to spend an insane amount of time only practicing such a specific technique. I would rather keep exposing to more songs and other techniques and patterns for now. The background video is actually my own personal Minecraft world on the PS4. My friends, my brother, and I worked on this world before Quarantine I believe. I focused hard on trying to create a center hub where all of our houses connected. It’s not the best world we’ve ever made, but we kind of stopped playing Minecraft for now. Also, at 2:59, my right hand accidently plays a D and an E. I edited out the E from the audio and midi. But the mistake is there in my performance. Typically I leave small mistakes like that in my videos, but the audio is really bad with that particular mistake. Piano Arrangement by ibi berlin https://musescore.com/ibiberlin/c418-... Synthesia/SeeMusic: In my personal opinion, probably one of the worst ways to learn how to play piano. You will hinder your progress in learning sheet music. Synthesia/SeeMusic will not help you understand rhythm, dynamics, or notation of a musical piece. Learn through sheet music or by ear. Those are better options in my opinion. I only use Synthesia/SeeMusic to create the piano roll visual, and it does a good job there. Editing Program: Davinci Resolve 16 Screen Recorder: OBS Piano Roll Generator: SeeMusic Piano: Yamaha P45 88 Key Weighted Digital Piano My piano stand is not that great so there may be some shaking of my piano. Audio: Digitally Recorded using Midi File DAW: Ableton Live Camera: iPhone 8 Started Playing Piano sometime around May 2020. Mostly Self-Taught. Using Ableton, I do minor corrections to the Midi file of my performance. For example, if I hit a wrong note or two in my performance I use Ableton to fix it. If I was supposed to hit a G but instead played A, I will use Ableton to change the note to a G. I make sure my performance is about 97% of the way there and then fix it in Ableton. I do it only because some songs are challenging for my skill level and I once tried to do about 27 perfect takes for a song and still did not get it 100% perfect. Additionally, sometimes the audio transfer from my piano to Ableton may glitch or be overly sensitive, and I will fix that as well.
