Waeco CF80 Quick & Easy Thermistor Replacement

My 5yr old CF80 needed a thermistor replacement. I checked out Youtube naturally and found several helpful resources. I attempted to dismantle the base of my CF80 and it wasn't cooperating. It was going to be a lot harder than I expected. I located the original faulty thermistor connection which was under the main controls and eassily accessible via removing just 2 screws. I connected the new thermistor & threw the component end into the fridge to test things out. It worked as expected so now how to replace it properly? I needed to find an alternative method than I'd seen so far. I lifted out the internal light (very simple) and found a channel down into the motor area where the red/black power wires for the light ran. I needed to drill the plastic a little so the thermistor head would fit through and then I was able to feed the thermistor into the interior of the fridge and lay it loose under the basket. Might not be that elegant but works a treat and I expect most, somewhat handy, people out there could do this in 15mins after viewing this. Good luck. And always carry a spare thermistor!!
