Here's how to program basic basslines on the roland mc-09 since I haven't seen any good explanations on youtube. You can program a non stop bassline that has note change values just like a tb-303 without ever having to stop the unit. I forgot to mention in the video that when your in record mode if you move the C1(TUNE) knob you will also be able to adjust the note value and on the screen it will say what note you adjust it to and what octave the note is at, for example, (C 5) vs a octave lower(C 4) just by twisting the knob. Once you get use to the unit you can get some really sick live sets going on. There is A LOT of other things the 09 is capable of that the 303 can't even do which I didn't mention in the video such as LFO rate adjustments and layering multiple basslines and fading them.
