Ethan Olsen, henna artist Dimple, Gordito Tamalito and some dancers talked about the block party and what people can expect. The 11th Annual Opening Weekend Block Party in East Village is back! Saturday, April 1 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. J St from 7th to 10th Avenue in front of Petco Park www.eastvillagesandiego.com/block-party · The event will feature everything East Village including local small businesses, live music and entertainment, tasty bites, beer and cocktails, local retail vendors, photo opportunities, a variety of fun family-friendly activities, and a celebration of East Village’s very own San Diego Padres. · Attendees over 21, can pick up a 21+ wristband at the entrance to enjoy the beer garden and cocktails from local vendors. · There will be one vignette of entertainment, located at the intersection of 9th and J Street, featuring back-to-back performers and entertainers. · The celebration is free to all ages. · Attendees can watch and enjoy live performances including one from professional dancers at Brickhouse Dance Productions · Attendees can participate in many activations including henna tattoos from Dimpsi-Mehndi · Attendees can sample food from many vendors including tamales and mixiotes from Gordito Tamalito
