You are what you hear | Ali Shahrashoub | TEDxTehran

After performing a piece of jaw-dropping music, Ali Shahrashoub reminds us of music's effect on the human mind and psyche and argues that "we are what we hear." Born in 1972, Ali Shahrashoub is an Iranian guitarist, musician, and music enthusiast. At the date of writing this bio, and with 34 years of artistic background, he still considers himself an “art student.” Like most Iranian musicians of his generation, Shahrashoub started his journey with at-home music classes and continued studying as a professional musician later. Maybe it is because of his not-so-public views that the public appearances of his career are limited to 32 private concerts and three music seminars only. Parallel to his “still learning music” path, he thoroughly studies Iranian classic literature and philosophy.
