Saudi Crown Prince rejects most Hadith, & Wahhabism!

Do you agree with Mohammed bin Salman (MBS), the Crown Prince and de facto ruler of Saudi Arabia, concerning his solution for eradicating extremists from Saudi Arabia, and thus creating a presence for his country to demand a place within the Western world, even possibly lead it at some point in the future? There is a problem, however. If the authorities for Islam today, especially those who are responsible for Islam's holy places, as MBS is, think that they can rid themselves of their extremist problem, they need to do better than simply turn their backs on the Islamic Traditions, and more specifically the problematic Hadith as their solution. What's more they better not replace those Traditions with the Qur'an as a better antidote, for two important reasons... To begin with, the Qur'an has the same problem as the Traditions concerning its Historical authenticity, in that both of them have no original 7th century texts to depend on, and are thus based solely on "hearsay", so that both sets of literature are completely dependent on graded categories of authenticity (i.e. the 3 categories of Sahih, Hassan, and Da'if for the Traditions, and the 30 categories of the Qira'at and Riwayat for the Qur'an), which in turn are based not on content, or theology, or even practical applicability, but merely on which one was the most popular (i.e. the Qira'at or Hadith read or used by the most people). The second problem concerns their relevancy for today. It is understandable that MBS must be concerned with the shear wealth of embarrassing problems found within the pages of the Hadith literature, and understandable that he would like to rid Islam of 90% of it. But why then turn to the Qur'an as an alternative, when it turns out to be one of the most violent and misogynistic books claiming to be scripture in existence. In fact, possibly even more so than the Traditions themselves. Consequently, it is simply not relevant or even applicable for the 21st century at all, neither for Saudi Arabia, and certainly not for those of us living in the West. There's really only one solution for both Mohammed bin Salman, as well as for every Muslim, and that is Jesus Christ, and His Gospel.
