Inverse Stalwart builds are actually what inspired me to start build crafting, and with the latest patch improving the handling of the Stalwart, I thought that I would return to this Stalwart primary build featuring the Exploding Crossbow as a bug-hole closing utility weapon. While I used to run the Stalwart with peak physique to make it easier to use, I’m happy to say that the Stalwart handles incredibly well without peak physique now. And when coupled with the extra armor penetration provided by the Guard Dog’s liberator penetrator rounds, these two when used in conjunction ensures that you constantly output a hailstorm of bullets of varying light and medium armor penetration. And while I used to use the Crossbow to deal with medium armored enemies, the buff to the Senator made it an excellent option to medium and heavy enemies (situationally) as well. To test the latest changes to Sentry cooldowns, I also brought the Rocket and Autocannon Sentries for some anti-heavy weaponry in addition to the Thermites. The use of sentries in this build helps take my focus off heavy enemies so that I can focus on mowing light & medium armored enemies with the Stalwart. Overall, I am very satisfied with the Stalwart’s improved handling. When combined with the buffed Guard Dog and double sentry setup, the raw damage output is absolutely insane and makes it incredibly easy to rack up killstreaks.
