The actuator arm (black or white piece on the gear change shaft) can be adjusted. Its very easy (when you know how 😁) Basically the actuator arm can slide up and down the gear change shaft. If the servo wasn't reaching then it sounds like it needs to be slid up slightly. Put the gear change servo into the 9 o'clock position and then slide the actuator arm up the meet the horn.
