Sydney Fishing Tips and Techniques - Worm Hooked Rigged Decoy Chatterbaits on Shutdown Bass.

My name is Aaron Horne and i am the owner of Windsor Bait And Tackle. I have fished throughout NSW and much of Australia and have spent twenty plus years documenting my travels through urban Sydney chasing Australian Bass and Bream. We are currently in the middle of creating our web page for the shops online business were we will link up all our social media and hopefully create an entertaining and knowledgeable site you can sit back at your leisure and browse through. Please checkout our Facebook page Also named Windsor Bait and Tackle where we keep you up to date with the latest in new products we test, sales that we run and fishing reports. thank you for your time. Aaron Decoy chatter bait with a 2.5inch Atomic paddle tail and the tail dyed red was driving fat non active bass into a frenzy. This is a key factor to why this lure is so important to me as an angler. There is a lot of lures that catch active bass but only a few that attract non active or not hungry bass. The bass hold in the undercut on the far bank when there not active. They just tuck in and sulk. Early in the season and there is an abundance of poddy mullet and still cold water. The mullet are easy gained protean to the energy used so they don't need to eat again until some of the food in there stomach absorbs. I found if the conditions are good and there's signs of a food source like schools of poddy mullet around but I can't draw any bass, this Chatter bait from Decoy can be deadly. This particular one I like the best because I can run them weedless. This allows me to have a lure with amazing action where when I cast out I let the lure hit the bottom and just shake it. (Same technique with the Crusty Crab on shut down bass) when the lures on the bottom my paddle tail plastic is head down tail up wiggling on the spot. I think it's like a blow fly in your face type of thing because often the bass will pick it up and swim towards me and away from there hole a metre or two and spit it out again. That's exactly what I look for now. I keep the line tight and when I feel the line go slack from the bass picking it up and dropping it toward me I just put my rod tip down and start to wind slowly dragging it along the bottom for a couple of feet then if I don't draw a bite I lift and drop and that seems to be the killer blow. It's like giving the sonics of a hard body diver to a soft plastic and with the Decoy worm hooks I can tap over every single snag which makes them a must have in my Tackle box. ~-~~-~~~-~~-~ Please watch: "How to catch Bass in Tidal water."    • How to catch Bass in Tidal water.   ~-~~-~~~-~~-~
