In this tutorial, we want to see if we can use the columns and shear walls in the foundation design again. In the design of the structure in ETABS all the beams, columns and shear walls are drawn and their effects are also used and their results are sent to SAFE software. When we use these elements again in the design of the foundation, their effects are taken into account again, and it causes the design results, including longitudinal rebars and punching shear, and soil pressure under the foundation to be reduced.
