Ghee rice is popular and flavoured south indian rice recipe made with basmati rice and desi ghee.You can serve it for your everyday meals along with your favourite curry or dal or veg/non veg gravy. #Howtomakegheerice #Gheerice #EasyGheericerecipe #perfectGheerice #Gheericeinhindi #HowtomakeGheePulao #TastyGheerice #NeychoruHindi Recipe: Basmati rice - 1 Cup Ghee - 3 tbsp /2 tbsp ghee + 1tbsp oil Large onion - 1 water- 1.5 Cup salt - 1/2 tspn Green chilli - 2 Ginger - 1 tspn cashews - 5-6(You can add more cashews if you want) raisins - 5-6 (You can add more cashews if you want) Whole spices : cinnamon - 1/2 inch cloves - 2 cardamom -2 star anise -1/2 piece bayleaf-1 Wash basmati rice in water till the water runs clear of starch,Then soak the rice for 20 minutes in enough water. Heat pan with 3 tbsp ghee /2 tbsp ghee + 1tbsp oil Fry cashews and raisins till golden brown. Remove and keep aside. To the same pan add onions and fry them to make fried onions/barista.Remove and keep aside. To the same pan add Whole spices and fry for 30 secs Add remaining sliced onions,ginger and green chilli. saute till the onions are translucent. Now add the soaked rice. stir the rice so that the ghee coats the rice well. Now add 1.5 cup water , salt as per taste Check the water and it should taste a bit salty. Cover the pan and cook for 8-10 mins on low flame Serve hot Garnished with barista , cashews ,raisins and coriander leaves.
