31st Annual Fall Foliage Festival - Historic Downtown Port Jervis, NY - September 22, 2024

Good Morning, Faerie Friends. This was our set-up for the 31st Annual Fall Foliage Festival in Port Jervis, NY. The festival has grown over the years and this year it covered 3 streets in our small city. Traditionally held on the 4th Sunday in September, this family friendly outing lets you experience: live music at various times/locations, wonderful food from around the world- with some of the proceeds from some of the vendors benefiting volunteer organizations a vintage (pre-1999 model) car show wandering performers a petting zoo access to local artisans and their products - what a great opportunity to "meet the maker" and also learn more about what they make and what goes into the process. a chance to "run into friends" that you haven't seen in a while and catch up. This festival showcases the best of what Port Jervis and the surrounding areas have to offer. Attending is a fabulous way to support your local community and best of all it is FREE. The weather this year was perfect: Sunny, low 70's with no wind. I truly can't think of a better way to say "hello" to the Fall season and I'm proud to have been a vendor this year. I'll definitely be back next year. Thank you to all of my wonderful and courteous customers - those who made purchases or simply entered my shop to browse and made uplifting comments. You truly made this Faerie's day. Thank you, as well, to the organizers of this event. Looking at the sheer size this year, you definitely took on a monumental task. Thank you to the City of Port Jervis DPW workers who were diligent in keeping the streets clean throughout the event. I saw some of the very best of people yesterday. With the vast number of attendees and participants, everyone was on their best behavior and it showed. (I wanted to do a companion video for what my booth looked like at the end of the day, but it was a very long day - festival hours were 10 a.m.- 5 p.m., with vendors setting up at 7:30 a.m. and I didn't realize that I hadn't taken the video until my things were nearly all packed up.)
