What performs better? Official FSR or DLSS through the mod? Starfield has already been released, and Bethesda decided to implement the upscaling method only from AMD, without official support for DLSS or XeSS. Fortunately, modders have been quick to respond, and shortly after the game's release, a mod allowing the use of DLSS by NVIDIA RTX card owners became available. In this video, I compared both upscalers at resolutions of 1080p, 1440p, and 2160p with different resolution scaling settings, from 50% (Performance) to 100% (AA). ⚠️ In my case, the performance difference is marginal (1-2 fps in favor of DLSS), and often there's no difference at all. However, while playing, DLSS works better for me because the image is more stable, particle effects and shadows are of higher quality, and distant objects are better reconstructed.
