Can art save lives? Art by Post was a landmark project by Southbank Centre - designed to tackle loneliness and social isolation brought about by the pandemic. This film follows the story of two participants, Amanda and Nenagh. https://www.southbankcentre.co.uk/cre... Amanda was stranded in London away from her family and was inspired by the Art by Post project to experiment with her stained glass work, creating a stunning panelled window in her bedroom. Puppeteer and Activity Coordinator Nenagh ,who works in a care home, used activities in the Art by Post project to keep her residents creatively engaged during a very period traumatic period. Art by Post booklets were available for any individual or organisation seeking creative resources, including care-givers, those living with dementia or long-term health conditions, as well as practitioners and professionals working in social and healthcare settings.
