A number of years ago, I discovered the Psychedelic Pop scene in Brazil in the late 1960's. We're talking bands like Os Mutantes, Gilberto Gil, Ronnie Von, Nara Leão and more. The genre is called Tropicália. Many of these artists were using handmade fuzz pedals that definitely had their own sound and nearly impossible to reverse engineer, but Beetronics did a splendid job with it - the best I've ever tried.
