$1100, $400, $125 Margaux Wines: Which is BETTER?

In this video we’re comparing three 1855 Bordeaux Classification wines: Chateau Margaux, Chateau Palmer, and Chateau Brane-Cantenac. All three wines are produced in the same Margaux appellation and even in the same commune. All of the wines are from the 2005 vintage, which is a classic vintage In Bordeaux and particularly successful in Margaux. Often referred to as “the Queen of First Growths”, Chateau Margaux is one of the most collectable wine from Bordeaux and retails for $1,100. The Chateau Palmer retails for about $400 and the Brane-Cantenac for $125. We ask “How much better, if at all, is a $1,000+ compared to a $125 bottle?” While comparing the wines, we explore what makes the soil so unique in Margaux along with the history and location of each of the chateaux. Viewers will get facts and research on each of the wines, along with our subjective opinions. We conclude the video by comparing our preferences with that of the CellarTracker community.
